Hi everyone

so glad to happen across this group after months of googling any weird

combination to find some sort of connection to others that have parents with

BPD. I have known for most of my adult life that mom was BPD as I work in Human

services and my husband and I looked her up in the DSM book 2o years ago LOL.

It didn't really mean anything then just a little under current joke with the

hubby. 2 years ago my dad left my mom suddenly, note under pillow off to Mich.

Leaving me with YUP MOM thats when the light began to dawn. Anyway long story 2

years and lots of therapy later and I am finnally beginning to have a healthy

relationship with my Dad albeit long distance 800 miles and have recently begun

intense work on my PTSD and anxiety from living with a crazy woman for 20 years.

I am finding myself, sort of, and learning to set firm limits with mom. For a

long time I didn't share anything with anyone about my childhood. My therapists

was the first, my supervisor just a little as this fall the anxiety was so high

I had to explain something to her, just last week my best friend of 40 years and

my husband in small doses. So this feels like a great safe place to hear about

others experiencing eerily close situations to mine and try a little tatalling

on Mom

without thinking somehow she will find out and the wrath will strike. Well,

honestly, I still think she will find out and the wrath will come but we'll have

to see how that plays out. Again thanks for being hear.
