,

many times if Doctors can't figure out what is wrong, they will push you off

to a psychiatrist. To me, that is a sign of an ill-trained Doctor. We need

to trust those that we put our lives in the hands of. Keep searching for a

Doctor you can trust, and can trust you. I'm still looking myself. I live

in RI and am off to Boston in a couple of weeks to meet yet another Doctor.

Chin up! Remember...you deserve the best treatment, even if it means pain

meds. It is the least they can do for us. Dina

Hi Valarie,

I was also sent to a shrink by the doctors at Mayo because they started me

on an anti-depressant which needed to be monitored. I am so happy that I

went!

I can't say the anti-depressant (Neurontin/pamelor} helped all that much but

i did notice some relief however, she ten started me on nurontin and this is

when I finally realized some help wit the pain. She was also a doctor who

also just deal in meds.

She moved away and I am seeing another one now wo does the same. e talk

about how I am sleeping how I am coping etc and he does my prescriptions. I

do see a therapist though to let off the steam :-] ...

hugs,

Judy Marie

ps Hi everyone..I had a bad puter crash in case anyone mssed me..also some

tradgedy in the family but ..I'm Baaaack :-}
