Guest guest
Hi, ! I don't have any info regarding your clitoral hood problem, but when I feel embarrassed about telling a doctor something, I say to myself, " This doctor has heard EVERYTHING. There is nothing I can say that will shock her/him or that will make her/him think I am weird. " I find it reassuring to think that no matter what I have to say, they've probably heard it before. Actually, that is one (tiny) little side benefit of all this vulvar pain and all those visits to various doctors, not to mention reading the posts on this group. I am much less inhibited in the way I speak to doctors now. I also don't feel weird about having doctors I just met examine my genitals! (I've had the same GYN for 22 years, so at first it was weird having a STRANGER looking at me. <LOL>) I figure if they can't handle what I have to say, or what they're going to see when they examine me, that's THEIR problem. Guest guest
I would think you could have that surgery at the same time and it would probably be better for you then having two seperate surgerys. I am supprised your doctor didnt mention it. However, have you tried using estrace on the area? If not I would give that a try. Dee had a lot of success with estrace when she had her labia fussed. I think I have, and always had the clitoral partially hood adhered. I haven't told the doctor about it since I thouhg that was the way it was, but some white stuff gets accumulated and I have to clean it but it's hard because it gets stuck in the edges where the hood is adhered. (Sorry, it seems like I woke up today with an intention to gross you out! ). Has anyone had an adhered hood " fixed " ? I was wondering if I could get that done while I have my vestibulectomy, or if it's asking for more pain! The little part of the clitoris that is exposed is very sensitive, almost painful. I don't know how I'm going to get over my embarassment to tell my doctor. Thanks for reading/listening __________________________________________________
