Guest guest
Your welcome Lori, Gosh I wish I'd have saved your original message, but I'm wondering if you might be concerned it's Herpes? I'm trying to think back to what it was you said. *sigh* or maybe that was someone else? Or was it a cancer concern? First of all I didn't realize you'd already let them use some type of acid removal for it. *sigh* that alone could have damaged your tissue. You said they used Condyline, I'm not familiar with that specific one, (assuming it was a wart removal acid of some type) but if you're still red, sore and itchy believe me I've no doubt that's most likely the cause, as I said earlier I know how damaging those acids can be. I know of some pretty scary story's of women afterwards. Plus you had several biopsies? *ouch* I can see the constant irritation you've put yourself through or maybe I should say doctors have. *sigh* As I mentioned about 65 to 70% of the whole population now carries HPV, so that to me wouldn't be a surprise as to why it showed up with your biopsy, but still most likely wasn't even bothering you. I mean as an 'initial' cause and was something they 'happened' to find, so said 'let's treat it' and I'm wondering if it was then,(after the treatment) that a lot of your irritation started. Same way they often find HPV in Vulvodynia and it's been ruled out today as a 'cause' of it, since they find it in the same percentage as the 'normal' population without V V. Just something that's there but NOT a cause and is NOT usually painful or itchy. As you said maybe your itch was all related to that yeast infection in the first place. *sigh* but who knows? Anyway if that's so, and it's the treatment itself that's causing you your problems, there's not much to do but hopefully let that heal (on it's own) and it's not by putting more potent creams or steroids on it believe me, especially those steroids that can be so thinning to the tissue as Clobetasol/temovate. I sometimes think the 'cure' is what can make us a hundred times worse *sigh*.. it certainly happened to me with the steroids *sigh*.. You are almost in a double bind though because typically a steroid like that IS used for itching, but in very very small amts 'because' it is so thinning. (and your skin is already so irritated) so if you are 'still' severely irritated I'd most definitely stay away from steroids right now. IMHO I think your skin needs to heal most likely from those acids used on you. I myself for now would probably use something like a Desitin for it's Zinc Oxide content as that is good for wound healing or just something mild over the counter. As to you stretching the skin and having it almost disappear, I'm wondering if it's more of an abrasion, like a little 'rough' patch? If so that could be Herpes, and I've seen Herpes NOT go into blister form and in a few weeks just diappear even though it's quite painful. (almost like a rug burn) I've a feeling though that may have been another member asking that , sorry. If you've had biopsies, then you also know it's nothing cancerous so I wouldn't worry too much about that. Though I do want to say that Cancer can evolve from something that 'doesn't' heal and continuously gets worse and can start from severe trauma to the tissue, such as severe constant scratching, or a lesion that doesn't heal. I'd keep an eye on it and if it doesn't heal in a short time, say a few weeks, (I"m talking about the pain and irritation) then I'd be a little more concerned, but if the pain and irritation leaves you and you're left with a small 'wart'' or semi-raised area it most likely is a small wart, (HPV) even though rather flat, typically as I said that too isn't much to worry about as vaginal warts are the least precancerous. Just thinking out loud here, but could it be something like an ingrown hair even? Anyway I'm just throwing various things out, and do understand your concern, we sure do know our own bodies don't we? And how many times we've tried to point things out to a doctor and they've missed it. *sigh* Wishing you the best and sending healing thoughts and hugs that whatever it is soon leaves you and with peace of mind most of all, but I wouldn't use 'anything' at all harsh on it for now and aggravate it even more. *sigh*... Good luck hon. Warmest regards, Dee~
