Re: The End of Life Index from Alzheimer's Outreach Dear Donna, I can't thank you enough for the link on dying. It was really good and timely. I went to see my mom today and she was sleeping. She was drooling all day. She did not know who I was or that I was even there. I found out she only ate a very little bit of food and drank a little. She was so weak that her body was relaxed sometimes. It came to dinner and I tried to feed her. She took a baby spoonful in her mouth. First she bit the spoon and hardly opened her mouth. Then she didn't know what to do with the food . I don't want to get too graphic but she did the same with water. I can't watch. She has at least 4 sores)being treated) on her backside. It seems like it could be any day now. I think she is ready. The nurse comes tomorrow and I'll see what she says. As prepared as we are, are we prepared???? I know she will be in a better place and be healed.. I told her to tell my dad I love and miss him. If you have any words of wisdom for me, I could use it. God Bless, Lynn S.
