Since some have been sharing funny incidents of their LO, I have one about me

that took place at Jim's Nursing Home. So, although it

did not involve an LBD LO, it did have to do with caring for LBD.

I was walking Jim down the hall in his wheelchair to where his room was and I

began to feel very dizzy and started walking like a drunk, off balance. This has

happened before and the doctor said it was caused from stress. I got to Jim's

room and sat down. It was around 6PM. My head was spinning and I couldn't look

up, because it made me feel nauseated. I sat there until 9PM when the nurse came

in to give Jim his medication. I told her I couldn't move from the chair

or drive home, I was too dizzy. She took my blood pressure and that seemed fine.

She called the ambulance! OMG! they came with a stretcher and told me they were

taking me to the hospital. I told them,  " DON'T move me, because I am nauseated, "

but one of the EMTs lifted me from the chair and I puked all over him. Ewwwww

Next thing I know, I am up on the stretcher and being taken out of the Nursing

Home, now that WAS a switch! Jim was watching me being taken out. I had to

assure him that I would be fine. All eyes were on me going down the hall out of

the nursing home. LOL

I was the usual 6-8 hours in emergency before they released me. The doctor gave

me over the counter motion sickness pills, Meclizine, for Vertigo and I was fine

within minutes, but they had to keep an eye on me before releasing me. It is the

same that the doctor issued me before that cured my dizziness.

When I was released from ER I had to call a taxi to drive me back to my car in

the parking lot at the nursing home to drive home at 3AM : ) Oh my, many

memories are at that nuring home.

My sister in law had the same problem. She has ms which caused seizures and

they were forever loading her into an ambulance when she knew what to do and

what was going on. They don't listen very well to the patient do they. We

used to take my mom to the hospital at least once a month before she was

diagnosed with lbd because she would blank out. Now I just keep her at home

and monitor her.
