Guest guest Posted May 8, 2011 Report Share Posted May 8, 2011 After my mother saw three old women on the couch And I could not After my mother saw a little girl in her bedroom And I could not After learning about Lewy Body Dementia After my mother's yelling and violent outbursts After the police came out because my mother Saw a man in her bedroom After being diagnosed with dementia on The first visit to the emergency room After my mother watched the chairs drink Up all of our water in the sink After my mother saw children be born in the study After my mother watched them grow into drooling monsters Licking the floors, the tables and her possessions After she watched them die from starvation After the Nazis took over the garage After losing her driver's licence After fifty year without an accident After being fired for bringing my mother to work one day After the Adult Protective Service Agent Accused me of being a criminal After my mother fell and cried out Had twelve stitches in her knee the next morning After she learned to walk again Only to forget later on After my mom was forced from my home Because she was communicating with the spirit realm Because she was a common witch Something unholy, something un-Christian To live in a hospital and die in a rest home Where no one has ever heard of Lewy Body Dementia " B. Armstrong Dementia? " After doctors drugged my mother and starved her After a police detective interrigated me After watching my mother die in a rest home After the grand jury trial After I was free to go What was the point?
