This is a procedure where a tiny hole is made in the floor of

the third ventricle. It is a procedure which restores CSF flow

without the need for a shunt.

It eliminates the problems associated with shunts, such as blockage,

it is performed by endoscopy and is usually a once off procedure.

The third ventricle has to be of " size " and should be performed by

someone who is experienced.
