Guest guest
Teri - Writing down your thoughts should ease your mind and let you relax to sleep - make lists and put all your thoughts and plans in a notebook too - then put it aside - it will be there the next day - you need to take care of yourself to be there for you husband. My mother gets up between 8 to 10 times a night with my Dad who has PD, LBD, MSA - he was in Rehab for 2 weeks after a one week hospital stay - this year. The Rehab facility said they would not let him come home without 24 hour 7 days a week supervision. They had it, then my mother fired them all. And she and my sister are doing it and I travel in to help weekly. When you first get out of Rehab, insurance will pay for CNA's to come in every other day to bathe the patient, also Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy, Social Workers and R.N.'s all came last year for 6 weeks - it was covered by insurance for 6 weeks. You do need your sleep, and you will get the help and it will all be OK - I will pray for you. H.
Guest guest
Sometimes it is hard to shut your mind off! I imagine a blank movie screen. When thoughts come up I go right back to the movie screen. It often works for me! I wonder if you are ready to stop antibiotics he might qualify for hospice, which would help whether he goes home or not. Quality of life is a huge consideration. If that's not there, then allowing the natural disease progession can be a kinder, gentler path to take. Thinking of you!
