Hi Carol,

Welcome to the group. You will find a wealth of information.

I'm not sure of when you joined, but I think you missed the article that brought

up the milkshake discussion. One of our moderators, our wonderful ,

posted this on Friday:

Doctors Debate Effectiveness of Alzheimer's Milkshake

I had asked our geriatric psychiatrist about Axona, and he felt it wouldn't help

at all. But you know what - everyone has to do what is good for his or her

loved one. At this point, I wish we had tried it - no matter what the cost.

A friend of mine posted a link to her facebook, and it's a very interesting

article from PopSci.com.

This is the title of the article:

Study Finds That Injecting Old Mice With Young Mouse Blood Has a Rejuvenating

Effect

Here is the link:

ng-mouse-blood-has-rejuvenation-effect

I found it really interesting. Does anyone have any information about this?

Regards from NY,

Helene

started Donepezil (Aricept-generic) at the same time, so it is not possible to

see which or if both together are helping him, but he has stabilized a great

deal and my mother swears by both additions to his diet! He is also putting on

weight for a change, and he had been dropping weight, despite his good appetite.

He has suffered absolutely no side effects that we have seen, or been mentioned

by him. -Just thought I'd toss that bit of experience into the ring! -Ida
