Have you made any dietary changes to perhaps help with constipation?

Donna, No I haven't made many diet changes. My diet is limited, especially in the fruit catagory, because I also have Interstital Cystitis. I tried a vegetarian diet years ago before I got I. C. but I did include dairy products which I know can be constipating. I was allergic to milk when I was young so it does make sense that my body was trying to tell me something with the exzema I had.

Yes, food for thought. Thanks, Donna White

For Donna (and others),

Have you made any dietary changes to perhaps help with constipation? I was constipated for most of my life until I became vegetarian, and then discovered I am allergic to milk, and went totally vegetarian (no animal products - vegan).

And one thing I do not EVER suffer from is constipation (an occasional chocolate craving, yes!)

Food for thought... so to speak. Ü

P.S. I will mention, in case there are any other vegs here, that it is hard to be vegan and low-oxylate! I am doing pretty well, though, taking calcium citrate, Bromelain, and marshmallow, yarrow, rosemary & pipsissewa tea. (naturopath's recommendation. The Bromelain (on an empty stomach) affects the ph of the urine.

Lynn, No I don't know but I do know that when I was having my severe back problem that it was excruciating. (felt like it was on fire) I think nerve problems from my back, extreme sensitivity in that area and constipation although it can also burn when I'm not constipated. Donna
