Mine's been OK. My landlady had family to stay so we've had a full

house and occasionally I've felt like the interloper at the family

celebration, but they've included me a lot and been lovely really.

Her parents left today but her sister is still here.

I have no plans at all for bringing in the New Year. Well, a

tentative idea of going up to the nearby castle where I lived when I

was a nun, to watch the fireworks over the town at midnight. That's

very weather and motivation dependent though. Last year I got to

watch the fireworks from the castle roof, which was very special. No

chance of that this year as it has new owners (who won't be there, but

it will be locked up).

I have some of the oddest chocolate - a German dark chocolate with

rose and black pepper in it. Oddly addictive too :-)
