Guest guest
I am not familiar with NY, but for starters someone suggested this doctor in the LBD Database: Caronna, ph, MD General Neurology New York Weill Cornell Medical Center 520 East 70th Street, Starr 607 New York NY, 10021, USA (212) 746 Subject: Unbelievable amount of drugs To: LBDcaregivers Date: Friday, August 12, 2011, 5:54 AM I am writing out of frustration after reading an email from a caring person trying to get information re a doctor in New York for her cousin (who lives in NJ). These are the drugs that her cousin is currently taking: Ativan, Abilify, Depakote, Lexapro, Remeron! It is absolutely maddening to know that a doctor could give all of these drugs to one woman who has this disease. I feel so badly and have given my advice strongly, you can be sure. ------------------------------------ Welcome to LBDcaregivers.

Guest guest
Janet, I appreciate your post re a NY doctor. FYI: I have some excellent doctors here in NY but the person lives in New Jersey. On top of that, she is looking for someone who makes house calls since there is friction among the relatives re the meds, etc. (to make matters worse. I have given her referrals for those as well and will hope that a good doctor will recommend that these meds are withdrawn and that the person with the POA will finally listen. As this caring cousin said, there should be a law against giving so much medication. I told her if she starts a campaign, I will join with her and know many people who would get on that bandwagon.
