Wayne,

You might contact JPS hospital. I saw a High School student in the medicine

ER one day last week. The should be able to tell you what schools they have

a contract with.

Hi I help teach at Foy H. Moody High School here in Corpus Christi. We have

been doing it for several years now. they are a magnet school for Health

Science. they also have a CNA program, Lab tech, and phlebotomy. these

programs are part of a four year curriculum that is medical based. the EMT

class is the last semester of their senior year so that they will be 18 by

the time they take the test.let me know if I can help you with anything else.

[texasems-L] Need Information on Program

Greetings:

I'm looking for information on which programs currently offer an EMT program

through the local high schools. I know that there is one in the DFW area,

but don't remember which city.

I would appreciate this very much.

Thanks,

Wayne

Wayne:

One of the High Schools in Corpus Christi also has such a program, although

my Juvenile-onset Alzheimer's prevents me recalling its name. Mike Sabala or

Grote at CCFD can probably toss out the name if they are

listening/reading/kibitzing.

Wayne,

We offer an EMT-B class through interactive television at Wharton

County Junior College to Ganado High School. It is offered to seniors as a

2 semester elective class. We teach the lecture material on M, W, F. The

skills are taught T, Th by some of our instructors working for the local

EMS. If you have any other questions, please contact me.
