Guest guest
I have no answer, , but I thank you for making an excellent point. One that makes me feel a little better about how we have handled Mom up until now (not yet in hospice). Part of me has been leaning toward having Mom " come home " to live with me during hospice. But your concern is well taken. Two of Mom's grandchildren have babies right now and I am sure there are more to come. One of those babies had heart surgery 4 days after birth. The last thing Mom would want is for her granddaughter or grandson to bring something so potentially dangerous home, thereby exposing their children. Any illness can spread so easily through an SNF. There would be no reason to think, I think, that home hospice would be different.
