Guest guest
Okay. Thanks for the prayers everyone. Jerry is now out of surgery. Dr. Weingart says that he removed a large blood clot from the outside of Jerry's brain. It did not get to the inside (thank the Lord for that). He says that he inserted a shunt to help with blood drainage, and doesn't foresee having to do this again. He says that we should not expect Jerry to be released from the hospital for at least 4 days this time (duh). I realize that Dr. Weingart is famous for doing this surgery, and has helped a lot of people. But I personally think that he made a very bad call when he released Jerry from the hospital yesterday, barely 48 hours post-op.
Guest guest
I can't help but think that Jerry would have developed the blood clot whether he was in the hospital or not. This is a very unexpected outcome for the decompression surgery. I am glad to know that they were able to remove the clot. KC
