Guest guest
, I am so sorry for your sorrow, but have to feel you Dad is at peace and free of the evil Lewy. God Bless  Jeff ________________________________ To: LBDcaregivers Sent: Friday, December 16, 2011 2:20 PM Subject: Re: The end  Thank you everyone. This morning at 9:30 AM Dad passed away and we all joined Mom and Dad at the house and waited for funeral home people to come. I got to be with him for about one hour - and he was smiling. When I got in car, the song " Have you ever seen an Angel " by Margo Hennebach came on XM Radio. The song exactly described what just happened in our family - it is so beautiful. I don't think it was coincidence. Thanks everyone. Love, in MA
Guest guest
Ah, . What a gentle and beautiful passing. Guest guest
I have an angel song that I find comforting, too. The original lyrics don't always fit, so I adapted it for dementia: *In The Arms Of The Angels lyrics for dementia* Adaption for dementia: Spend all your time waiting For that *gentle peace* For a *thought that would take you away* There's always one reason To *fear you’re* not good enough *Your so tired* at the end of the day I need some distraction ooh beautiful release Memory seeps from my veins Let me be empty and weightless and maybe I'll find some peace tonight Chorus In the arms of an angel Fly away from here From this dark cold *confusion* And the endlessness that you feel You are pulled from the wreckage Of your silent *memories* You're in the arms of the angel May you find some comfort here So tired of *not knowing* And everywhere you turn *They so lovingly hold you to them* *But the storm keeps on twisting Your mind tumbles and it turns And* you *wish for the life* that you *lost* *May they understand your reasons Bless your children one last time There is joy within this sweet sadness oh *This *gentle gladness* *that lifts you away * Chorus You're in the arms of an angel May you find some comfort here Some comfort here I hope you find it comforting. Guest guest
I'm sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Nothing happens without purpose. The song was meant for you. It's amazing how often the timing is just right. How beautiful your dad was smiling. He was at peace. Guest guest
, What a gift to you and your family that your Dad was smiling and then hearing the angel song. Maybe his smiles were from seeing the angels come to take him home. Blessings to you and your family. Guest guest
- So sorry for your loss. It is a bittersweet time. May you feel strength to get you through. Reading about the song caught my eye. I call those coincidences " Godincidences " . I don't think they " just " happen. I feel they are arranged just when we need them to happen. Then I read a reply from Kathy, about the dementia version of " In The Arms Of The Angels " . Again, a Godincidence. That is one of the songs I had played at my dad's funeral. The original version by McLachlan. Take care of yourself. Many prayers for you and your family- Sandie Des Moines, IA dad, Merle, passed away from LBD 9-20-02, age 65 ----- Re: The end Date: Fri, 16 Dec 2011 14:20:14 -0500 (EST) Thank you everyone.
