Guest guest
I haven't been posting about what's been happening but so often I have been recalling some of your posts and found them helpful and comforting. I called an ambulance for my Mom December 23rd and she has been in the hospital battling pneumonia since. She had a great comeback a few days ago and the doctor is releasing her soon. She is much deteriorated from where she was a month ago. Hospice is bringing a bed, commode, lift, pullups, wipes, gloves, etc and will be giving me and her day-CNA a lot of help and support. I wish I had been strong enough to let her go then but I wasn't quite there yet. Now I think I will be strong enough so she doesn't have to have another IV or spend any more time in the hospital. I think her unwillingness to eat or drink much will bring about her demise before too long and I have to keep reminding myself of that every time I start thinking long term. It's just so strange, as if it were happening to someone else. Anyway, I just want all of you to know that you are very helpful and I feel a great sense of support from you even though I don't post very much.
