Guest guest
I have not posted much but now am beginning to see some things I may need some guidance on. My sister has Picks and is now in her 2nd year of dx, but probably had it for years before. My mom also is losing her decade long bartle with alzhiemers. Does anyone know if there is any connection or is this a fluke? Sent from my NOOK
Guest guest
Hi , I just wanted to update you on my mom. She came home on monday to spend her last days. Since she has been home she is eating and drinking and sitting on the sofa for hours. we asked her why she would not talk to anyone at the hospice area in Community east in Indy. She replied that she didn't like them. Since she is off all meds at home, even methodone she is very clear headed. She has not been crying and is not aggitated. But because of all the bad drugs that she was given since diagnosis on Dec. 2 She is declining at a rapid progression. She still is incontinent, she can not walk and she is having bad headaches occasionally' She is refusing all meds for pain because they knock her out. She is taking excedrin when she needs it. Thank you everyone that emailed me and tried to help. It is just a waiting game now.
Guest guest
Hi Donna, This group is about Lewy Body Dementia caregiving. I wonder if you ought to look for an online support group specifically about Alzheimers or Pick's disease, as I think this group, at least myself, know little or nothing about either Picks or Alzheimers? Guest guest
Freda, at the direction of the good Neurologist my mil had, she took gram of Tylenol every six hours and this helped manage pain until the last stages. Ibuprofen is also very helpful and when Tylenol alone didn't work we added- adding 400 mg to the Tylenol dose. If she is ok with these you might consider trying them. - Dorothy from cell phone > Hi , I just wanted to update you on my mom. She came home on monday to spend her last days.
