Guest guest
Kathy We always promised to have Dad at home to pass on, since he was so very unhappy in 2010 and 2011 - both times ended up in hospital and had to Rehab in Nursing home - both times was several weeks not home. But then it comes to a point - they don't know they are home - this time with hospice at home to die - before he was in coma - he kept asking me to take him with me when I leave so he could go home - I said " you are home " . He had no idea he was home. So then it comes down to the family feels better they are home. Hospice said some alarming things are going to happen - but didn't say what exactly " alarming " things. I get everything second hand because I don't live there - I just travel an hour to go there every day to help and see Dad. Make sure you know what the alarming things are - I think it means change in breathing, seizures and organ failure that presents a problem I think I will spare the people on this board, but it is very disconcerting. I pray for mercy that it will be soon - today is Day 8 - I guess yesterday was Day 7 and I said it was Day 6, but my sister corrected me last night. Usually death comes between 4 to 7 days, I think. Thanks everyone and Kathy !
