Guest guest
<< When I lay down on my back, the back of my head pounds and all my symptoms get worse. Is this a high pressure thing? Hi All, A couple of people have asked about this too! I couldn't lie flat before my second decompression. I slept sitting up for about 6 months. Dr. Milhorat told me that spinal fluid is like a bottle half full of water. When it is upright, the fluid settles to the bottom. When it is laying down, it tries to seek a level playing field. When you have a blockage of csf somewhere, that fluid is still going to try to get into where it is supposed to, causing the pressure and pain. Hope this helps, Kathleen
