Guest guest
At this point, just 6 months from diagnosis and probably 3 years plus of symptoms, my dad's sleep needs have steadily increased. He sleeps till 10 or even as late as 11:30 am most days. (Highly unusual for him.) He is 80. He takes just 10 mg Aricept daily and 1 Axona shake. He is best when he goes to bed daily by 9:30 pm. My mom, also 80, wishes she could wake him in the mornings, as these are usually his best hours, but she is accepting that rest is what keeps him strong and steady enough to battle the intermittently severe, yet always rather constant confusion. -Ida
