Guest guest
Hello all, I live in Michigan with my husband and my mother. Mom has been with us about two and a half years and my sisters and I diagnosed her with LBD about a week ago. Her doctor has now put the diagnosis in her file. I am happy to have found a forum with others who will understand what I am going through. If I had found you earlier I wouldn't have given Mom an antihistimine yesterday for her cold and she may not have been so confused and out of balance last night. I am curious as to how Mom will progress with this condition. This summer she lost her ability to make simple foods for herself in the microwave and her ability to use the remote control for her TV. She also went a little downhill in her ability to find the words she needs and she fell on a few occasions (not bad, but enough to make me realize she can't stay home alone any more). Except for last night she hasn't suffered much change in personality. We have times when she is worse than others and I worry that it's the new " norm. " My question now is whether there is a common progression or does it vary greatly.
Guest guest
,  There really isn't a " norm " for this disease. There is also little norm for the same person. I also am in MI. I live in Royal Oak. I had Mom under similar situation you are talking about. Just remember if you have a real bad day, you want to check out UTI. Urinary tracks are common. Donna R New to the group  Hello all, I live in Michigan with my husband and my mother. Guest guest
Hi , While there are commonalities in LBD victims the progression of symptoms seems to vary among individuals. The first thing I would do is get a lewy-savvy doctor involved. The right combination of SAFE meds can make all the difference in how her disease progresses from here . I'm also in Michigan (Houghton Lake)... Welcome to the group! > Hello all, > I live in Michigan with my husband and my mother.
