Christmas Mum fell and broke her hip and we decided not to have it operated on

(fully knowing the result). At this stage Mum is on rivitol drops and when the

pain is bad she is given ordine. Mum is still eating but very little and

drinking so we are not technically at the palliative care stage but near enough.

Mum is in a NH and are lovely with her. Even though you think you have readied

yourself for this you never have and it is a very emotional time, very much a

rollercoaster ride.

Dear

I am so sorry to hear that has now been diagnosed with cancer. You now

have an added complication to deal with and another disease to learn about.

What a blow it must feel to you both. My loving thoughts are with you both

as you make this new adjustment.

Elaine from Sydney Australia
