Guest guest
My mil is in the process of dying now. The rn manager thinks morphine and Ativan is enough. It's 4 am and she has been screaming at the top of her lungs where's my daddy, someone help me I can't walk I can't move I can't do anything I'm no good - and on and on. I have been here on the sofa feeling helpless. I asked the rn to check with her doctor as he had some suggestions of what we might try in place of holdol and she finally did but tells me seroquel isn't covered by hospice and the last time she tried it it wasn't so good. Is there anything I might suggest trying? I don't care if we have to pay for it but I do care that she is not suffering like this Last night the morphine worked almost all night, tonight it worked just 4 hours. I am also concerned with this trend the morphine could turn on her and may be causing agitation Appreciate suggestions. It looks like we continue to have to be proactive in her care and be the ones administering these drugs which I really hate ESP in the middle of the night when so tired - Dorothy from cell phone
