Guest guest
Yes. My son, 's nutritionist, Dana Laake, includes lithium orotate in his supplement compound (75 mcg). weighs ~ 35 pounds. Selenium was included because his selenium levels, based on a hair analysis done about a year ago, indicated that he was very low in selenium. A recent minerals analysis indicates that his selenium levels have increased and are currently in the 5th quintile. We will be consulting with the nutritionist to potentially reduce or eliminate it from the compound. Not directly in response to your question re: selenium, but we have been having great difficulty in increasing 's zinc levels. He receives zinc in his compound as well as through ASD Vitamin and Mineral Powder. We have also been giving him 2 grams of Kirkman's transdermal glutathione daily. I'm wondering if what we are putting in him is being excreted with the assistance of the glutathione? His mercury, lead and cadmium levels are normal or below normal. We will be consulting with the nutritionist re: discontinuing glutathione. I was wondering if others have had the same experience with the zinc or other essential metals being low as a result of the use of glutathione. Our Doctor wants us to give him a lithium orotate supplement. Has anyone else used this that can give some feedback? Thanks
Guest guest
Aliza, Symptoms like agitation, anger, mood can be associated with inflammation. We have seen this several times with our sons. It can be difficult to pin down the cause of the inflammation, but the GI tract is a common place (measles, yeast, bacteria, metals, etc.). Another common area is allergy related inflammation, food or airborne. Looks like you tried numerous supps and scripts, but if you haven't already had her evaluated specifically for inflammation, you may want to talk to a doc about that. She's been on it for over a month now. We saw no improvement in agitation/anger/mood/anxiety. We've tried strict dietary intervention, supplementation (including pretty much every imaginable type and combination thereof), psychotropics, SSRIs, stimulants, etc. Nothing seems to work. Actually, Risperdal works somewhat, but dulls her. We are just at a loss for what to try. Aliza http://stores.ebay.com/Darwins-Linc
