Thanks, Sue: No, that is the part of the website that

still has to be updated! As you see, I am over a year

behind as it has been pretty non-stop for me since the

Africa study started - I hope it's a bit quieter this

year as I have some important writing to do. The only

book being sent out now is the 2007 3rd Edition, which

does have Chelsey at 12 instead of 6.

These are no longer available and a collector's item

by now; it has nothing about HBOT, LDN, Oxalates, etc

etc - why do you want it? Dr. JM

it seems to be an easier read for newbies to understand the basics like diet,

and suppliments ect....I have lent out both my additions and I have recieved the

comments from most as such, (me being a vetren mom felt the same way having

read both. I had a hard time makeing it through some of the 3rd book, not from

lang, but lack of info like the 2nd addition and stories which a person can

relate to with THIER kid kinda thing. less personal perhaps) the LDN section in

the book didn't really have any info. per say either. just mentioned it's name

but nothing on the study done ect.....I am trying to keep a resource for the

newbies that I am helping in it's easiest form.

Thanks Dr.McCandless for the excellent CSB book and this group, which had helped

get us started on the biomedical treatment for our daughter. We are extremely

grateful to you, for all that you have done.

I had purchased the earlier editions, would like to purchase the 3rd edition

too. The website still lists the california address to which the check needs to

be sent. But i remember an earlier posting where you had mentioned you have

moved out of california and are now at Hawaii. I tried searching through the

earlier postings plus the files section, but could not locate the new address.

Please could you let me know the new Hawaii address to which the check needs to

be sent.

thanks,

Sita

Re: Re: Links to Dr McCandless' websites and yahoo

groups - - loooonng

Dear Listmates, Hi! My website for general autism,

www.starvingbrains.com, is finally in the process of

being updated. This is the group where the 2007 3rd

Edition of " Children with Starving Brains " may be

purchased and priority mailed to you; this purchase

from the website is a requirement for joining the

yahoo group e-group which will be described next (all

proceeds from these book purchases go to my LDN

African research project for HIV+AIDS). Soon the

WEBSITE UPDATE will be complete, and at that time

everyone who has not purchased the new edition will be

removed from the group, as the earlier editions were

missing a lot of important info that is in the latest

book 3rd edition which has now been out for one year.

The yahoo e-group has about 1000 members,

CSB-Autism-Rx (as said, requiring book

purchase from www.starvingbrains.com to join. This

e-list is about the bio-medical approach to the causes

and treatments of children (and adults) with autism,

and has a lot of very savvy and devoted parents who

fully intend to recover their children and want to

share with other such parents on this list. This

e-list was originally very capably moderated by Lynn

Arnold (who has helped me a lot with computer things)

and when she felt she no longer could do it

took it over - is an indefatiguable wonder

women who works, tends her two aged ailing parents and

two adorable just-nine year olds and never sleeps!

Her boy is/was my patient and is recovered and

is so grateful and such a generous soul that she works

tirelessly to help me as well as many others, thanks!!

!!

I also have a website covering the LDN research

project in Mali, Africa, with some great pictures of

that remarkable country - www.LDNAfricaAIDS.org. BTW,

all donations to this project no matter what amount

are gratefully appreciated - and even more your good

wishes for the best outcome. Implications of this

study are enormous, and my motivation for doing it

(pro-bono of course) is the 7-1/2 million HIV+ orphans

in sub-Saharan Africa, most of whom will die a

terrible death by age two if not treated. Currently,

only 6% of kids get treated there because of the cost,

the shortage of medical personnel, and the toxicity of

the standard HAART drugs, all of which will be

mitigated by the use of an effective, non-toxic, easy

to use inexpensive medication like LDN for these kids

when the study (hopefully and expectantly) shows it

does stabilize and increases the vital CD4+ cell that

regulates HIV+AIDS.

Another yahoo group I supervise is for those who are

interested in LDN in the treatment of autism. Not a

general group as is the CSB group, as

vigilant moderator will gently remind those who get

off-topic on what this group focuses - LDN for autism.

The other yahoo group is entitled

LDN_HIVAIDS , and is just what it says,

about the use of LDN for HIV+AIDS, and other topics of

interest in research, theory, and varying treatments

along with LDN for this infectious disease.

Welcome to visit or join these groups! Dr. JM
