Guest guest
Our son shies away from meat & veggies & gravitates towards carbs- fruit & GF grains. I have to almost make him eat the others ( " No more rice today until you have a meat or veggie " )and have really sought things he'll eat. Your kids may not like these things, but he loves: Chicken Apple Breakfast sausage from Applegate Farms homemade chicken nuggets with crushed cornflakes/potato flour crust -he used to also eat GF chicken-fried steak that I'd make... He will also eat rice & beans together, which if I understand correctly is a form of protein that is very similar to that found in meat...? He also eats some nut butters, such as almond, sunflower seed, pumpkin, etc, in the form of a sandwich or " ants on a log " - not meat, but another form of protein. My son also gets hypoglycemic- which now that he is 6 just manifests as bad behavior (when he was little he would get shaky & disoriented & cry non-stop until we'd finally have to shove a spoonful of something into his mouth. So I know what you mean about having to be careful on that front! > > > > It's funny how each child is different. Guest guest
This post reminded me to mention that at the mini-DAN I attended in Little Rock zinc was really touted as often making kids less picky. FWIW > > Hi Shari, I second .
