Guest guest
Gotcha. Can the reverse be true? I have some high cortisol symptoms (sometimes). But could I actually have low cortisol? I feel my adrenals are shot, even though I don’t have my saliva results back. (A previous blood cortisol level was quite low.) I have high RT3 (9.26 ratio). I seem to vascilate between feeling a little hyper/anxious/but as close to good as I can but unable to deal with stress, to feeling so tired I can’t get out of bed/depressed/lots of pain/completely unable to deal with anything. I can be either for a day or longer – I currently tend to be on the hyper/feeling pretty good side, but every once in a while I have the pain/depressed side. My mom had goiter and thus thyroid removal, died of lung cancer (diagnosed bipolar, paranoid). Just from symptoms, I KNOW she had adrenal issues along with the thyroid issues. One aunt died of thyroid cancer (she was bipolar). Other aunt died of melanoma, but had thyroid issues (diagnosed major depression). All were on just T4. Bipolar is prevalent in my family (mother, brother, aunt, grandfather, great grandmother – all on same side), which I’ve heard could be undiagnosed Hashi’s. I saw where you said you had no antibodies until 20 years later! Free T3 = 315 (230-420 pg/dL) Free T4 = 1 (.8-1.8 ng/dL) Reverse T3 = 340 (90-350 pg/mL) TSH = 3.7 (.4-4.5 mIU/L) Pregnenolone = 92 (7-188 ng/dL) Aldosterone = 2 (upright 8-10am < or = 28 ng/dL) ACTH am = 18 (5-27 pg/mL) Anti-Thyroglobulin Antibody = < 20 (0-20 IU/mL) Antithyroid Perox. AB (TPO) = < 10.0 (0.0-.5 IU/mL) Ferritin = 74 (10-154 ng/mL ) Estradiol = 115 (30-400 pg/mL) Progesterone = 5.7 (< 1ng/mL day 1-14, 3-15ng/mL day 15-28 This was taken on day 15.) Viatamin B12 = 685 (160-950 pg/mL) 17-Hydroxyprogesterone = 105 DHEA = 280 Could Hashi’s be my problem? I though I had this figured out, but now I don’t know… I’m just confused… From: RT3_T3 [mailto:RT3_T3 ] On Behalf Of T Sent: Sunday, August 31, 2008 10:21 AM To: RT3_T3 Subject: Re: Re: I'm really confused, ft3 high than low, rt3???? What happensin some people is when they have high cortiosl they also have cortisol resistance. Which means the cortils is not able to do what it is supposed ot be oding, thus high cortils and low cortisol sympotms.
