Surely that's because you like it, not because you feel you need it, right?

Grace, you are one the most beautiful girls I have ever seen.

Oh Grace you're cute! :) Make-up, pah.

I had pictured you...rounder. Not chubby but with a wider face. And paler.

But then, you live in California, what was I thinking?

I have to figue out that files thing sometime. But it's NEW and

DIFFERENT...I don't know if I can handle that.

Not PALE...just not as dark as you are. :)

Did you forget she's Korean? That was my first thought when you wrote it

originally...

He was a nice man, very decent and very kind and very polite. VERY polite,

a gentleman, really. If he saw you making a genuine effort, then I imagine

he would give you an " A " for that effort and let you move on to

bottlefeeding.

What he really objected to were women who were afraid that breastfeeding

would ruin their figures which some women did think.

I'm sure there were also those who thought it was " dirty " or

something......that's how I imagine my mother thought.

Yes, but I have worked with some women who did not breastfeed successfully

because they were very uncomfortable with their bodies and they really can't

help it either. It is pretty tough to get away from how you are raised and

how you feel.

I helped a friend of mine, a very nice person who just wanted to be a good

mom, and it was simply impossible for her for she found the whole thing so

embarrassing. I really didn't think it was her fault. So probably that is

how it was for your mother?

It's not as if you plan these things, is it?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

You did indeed get me. You do not know the pain reading that first sentence

caused me.

Hey, I'll speak to Grace! I'm too old to cut someone I enjoy out of

my life just because they didn't breastfeed (and sounds as if Sara is

too young to cut someone out of her life because they didn't

breastfeed).

And I must admit that occasionally when I am nursing two children at

once I do give a little MOOOO!

I think you have to be extremely careful before judging another person...you

just don't know what they've been through or what they are dealing with. I

know that criticism for the breastfeeder also exists, especially when you are

nursing a toddler and beyond. :)
