Guest guest
Help!! Two of my kids, one in 7th grade, the other in 9th, are going through sheer misery in school. They are having a horrible time trying to cope with math. It seems they have inherited my math learning disabilty, and the teachers and tutors they have had have not been able to help. My daughter seems to need to have problems illustrated with examples, as does my son. The harder they try, the more stressed out they get, and less they have learned. Its come to the point where if they cant get it, they will be thrown out of the school they are in. And I **dont** want them to go to the damned public schools here....the same schools that put our ASpie son, Aric, through absolute hell because they didnt believe that AS is on the autistic spectrum and because they didnt believe in the good that an Autism Service Dog did for him. So we are in a rather desperate situation. Surely, someone here can help us find a system of teaching math? Please? Gail
