Guest guest
JDP, IMO nothing will give you a better electrical connection than soldering. Are you using lead free or lead bearing? What is the wattage of your gun or iron? From: jdp710 Sent: Sunday, August 12, 2012 3:49 AM To: Lyme_and_Rife Subject: Re: Doug Coil No Longer Working Hi Terry, That's no problem at all. I hope things get better for you. Also, thanks for the offer. That's very kind. The Doug Coil isn't hard to rewire once you've done it before and I'm thinking that rewiring and changing out the resistors should fix the problem. I've also been looking everything over and I think rather than soldering the capacitors and resistors again, I think I'm just going to connect them directly to terminal barrier strips. http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_nkw=12+Position+Terminal+barrier+ & _sacat=0 & _odkw= & item=320959006899 & pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0 & _osacat=0 & hash=item4abaa5c8b3 & _ssn=goodbuy7888or a whole bunch of these http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_nkw=Dual+2+Position+Terminal+barrier+ & _sacat=0 & _odkw= & item=390375448517 & pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0 & _osacat=0 & hash=item5ae4309fc5 & _ssn=goodbuy7888That should cut down on the time (I think) and I wouldn't have to solder anything in the capacitor array. Just a heads up in case it's something you wish to explore to see if it helps your building. >> JPD,> > Sorry for not responding sooner I have had a crazy couple of weeks. If you like I can go over the whole thing for you. I am sure that I could pinpoint the problem or problems. The only cost to you at that point would be shipping and the parts that you may need and I probably have them on hand> > Terry>
