JDP,

IMO nothing will give you a better electrical connection than soldering. Are you using lead free or lead bearing? What is the wattage of your gun or iron?

Hi Terry, That's no problem at all. I hope things get better for you. Also, thanks for the offer. That's very kind. The Doug Coil isn't hard to rewire once you've done it before and I'm thinking that rewiring and changing out the resistors should fix the problem.
