Guest guest
I know people with Lyme should not take magnesium supplements (I think it " feeds " the Lyme encouraging growth). Seem to remember reading something about other mineral supplements encouraging cysts; special care should be taken especially during the seasonal flares. Does anyone know if it is okay to take calcium and Vit D supplements? How about selenium or chromium picolate? Thanks for the help. Guest guest
I have heard alot about Lyme itself increasing active levels of Vit D so some people, like Rosner, think its a good idea to avoid light of any kind, and avoid foods high in Vit D. When I took the magnesium supplement included in the Cowden protocol pack 1, I immediately got a stiff neck! So I didn't take it again.Sue From: sweetapple314 To: Lyme_and_Rife Sent: Sunday, August 26, 2012 1:44 AM Subject: OT: OK to take Calcium or Mineral Supplements ??? Guest guest
I think adding Vitamin D helps. My levels of Vitamin D levels were crazy low. My Vit D level was a 3. All of the bones in my body felt like they were broken. I could barely walk, had a hard time driving a car, etc. I was put on 50,000 IU's of VitD for 3 months and feel way better. I now take 5000 IU's a day. This link below may explain why. The part I found interesting was this: Dr. Klinghardt on Vitamin D and Lyme DiseaseALS, MS, cancers, etc. are all vitamin D deficient states. Lyme spirochetes utilize vitamin D3 to stimulate their own growth. It helps the spirochetes to multiply much faster. Sarcoidosis is a condition of lumps in the lymphatic tissue and lungs. It is often caused by Lyme disease. Dr. Marshall is not an MD or a chemist. Dr. Klinghardt has not seen one improvement on the Marshall Protocol except in a sarcoid patient. It has not been helpful for pure Lyme cases. If a person is vitamin D deficient and being treated for Lyme, it seems to take longer for them to recover. When you give vitamin D and Lyme treatment together, the patient does far better. Lyme disease multiplies every 22-36 days. With Vitamin D, that process may be every 19 days. The organisms are most vulnerable to treatment when they are multiplying.http://www.betterhealthguy.com/joomla/blog/163-klinghardt-conferece-lyme-and-other-chronic-infections To: "Lyme_and_Rife " <Lyme_and_Rife > Sent: Sunday, August 26, 2012 6:10 AM Subject: Re: OT: OK to take Calcium or Mineral Supplements ??? My last vit d level was 45. What vit d level did you get to when you felt better? Thanks. Guest guest
I wondered about that, as that type of magnesium actually stimulates your bowels to counter act other products which cause constipation.....what did you replace it with?? Looking at this same issue.
