Guest guest
My son is now 17, but he had what his ped. called night terrors and later his neurologist called infant rage attacks. He would wake up screaming uncontrollably and could not be consoled. All I could do was put pillows around him to protect him as he also flailed and rolled around violently, arching his back until only his heels and head touched the bed or floor. He was around 9 months when they began, and subsided around age 3-4. fell into Autism at 18 months dx'd at 22 months. He lost all speech after a tetanus shot at age 3. I never did find out just what caused these " attacks " but it was obvious to me that they were much more than night terrors. My son was in terrible pain that I was helpless to take away. Recently he has been waking up in the middle of the night again and yelling...I just wonder if it has anything to do with what he was going through back then...? Maybe it is yeast? Maybe Gluten-casein? since his teacher gives him...Whatever to eat...He can't talk so he can't tell me and getting the teacher to communicate is like pulling teeth.
