It took me a while to learn how to respond correctly too, but I still do it

wrong sometimes! Sometimes I forget that it's a little more complicated that a

plain, ordinary email. Not sure how long I've been a member, maybe a year or

so.

darla,took me about a yr. to figure out how to start a topic.  we all do things wrong here.  even when we know what to do, with all the brain fog floating around i don't think anyone was really bothered if you did it wrong and most probably didn't even know.  

don't lose any sleep over this.  as marie said, it's no big deal.barbara

Hi ,

Jim usually sends most of his emails later in the day, but I think most of us

can answer your question. There are two ways to receive postings: a summary

each day where you can click on various topics, or an individual email each time

someone posts something. Whichever method you have chosen, if you look at the

screen there are instructions on the page somewhere that are very easy to

follow.

I receive separate emails, and I assume you do to, because this is where it gets

confusing. If you hit reply as you would for any normal email, your answer is

sent as an email to everyone in the group. But if you scroll down to the bottom

of the page you have 4 options: " Reply to sender | Reply to group | Reply via

web post | Start a New Topic " which are pretty self explanatory, but it took me

a while to learn it too. Now I usually click on " Reply via web post " . When you

do that, everyone will receive the posting in the manner each one has chosen.

Some people prefer not to receive a lot of emails. If you decide you would

rather get a daily listing of topics, you can edit your membership (click on

" Edit Membership " near the top of the screen).

If you have further questions please ask--we've all been new to the group and

some of us are still a little confused about the whole thing!

hi khaya,ok, now i'm confused.  i didn't know there was anyway other than the 'reply' like regular email.  have i been doing it wrong all this time.  i thought what i posted went to everyone.  is there a difference then in what you are hitting and what i do, 'reply'.  do some not see my post.  in my email i can see who posted last and then 'me'.  i don't understand.
