Acyclovir

Had a DAN appt today.....actually what I had was a worthless appt...a

two hour drive to get there, then $225 for 30 minutes and I left with

nothing. No direction, only 1/2 my questions got answered, and 1/2 of

what she said made no sense. Sorry to vent that...

Anyway, my question. My daughter is a viral kid. High EBV. Has

responded well to Monolaurin. We also we tried Valtrex twice, no

changes only major yeast overgrowth. After listening to some other moms

I ask our DAN if we can try another anti-viral I ask for Acyclovir. She

says... " its the same thing as Valtrex, no need to try it if the Valtrex

did nothing " Basically she says if Valtrex didn't work then there is no

need to try another. I was a little confused. Then we talk about yeast.

I tell her I used GSE during our last flare but it caused bad bacteria

becaused I used it to long. She says " it shouldn't have, because GSE

fights bacteria too " . Again, I'm confused. This is followed by a

conversation about probiotics....she says " there is something NEW I

want you try. THREELAC " She is excited about it, like it is really

something new. I say " I have that, we've been using it for about a year

now " . Now she looks confused. ARRHHHHH!!! I need a new DAN. I will

travel anywhere any time. Any suggestions???
