Guest guest
Sue, I take 8400 vit D daily but no extra calcium. From what I've read, it's not good to take calcium supplements even though drs recommend something like 1200 daily. I'm not a dr, but that's just my opinion. When I took the magnesium supplement included in the Cowden protocol pack 1, I immediately got a stiff neck! So I didn't take it again. > Sue > > > ________________________________ > > To: Lyme_and_Rife > Sent: Sunday, August 26, 2012 1:44 AM > Subject: OT: OK to take Calcium or Mineral Supplements ??? > > > Â > > I know people with Lyme should not take magnesium supplements (I think it " feeds " the Lyme encouraging growth). > > Seem to remember reading something about other mineral supplements encouraging cysts; special care should be taken especially during the seasonal flares. > > Does anyone know if it is okay to take calcium and Vit D supplements? > > How about selenium or chromium picolate? > > Thanks for the help. > > Edie >
Guest guest
Hi Susie, I agree with you on both Vitamin D and calcium... We need D to avoid more disease and calcium we get enough from diet... Magnesium (oil) regulates both calcium and Vitamin D in the body... http://www.mariasfarmcountrykitchen.com/the-super-powerful-mineral-youre-not-get\ ting-enough-of/ Take care, Jim > > > > I have heard alot about Lyme itself increasing active levels of Vit D so some people, like Rosner, think its a good idea to avoid light of any kind, and avoid foods high in Vit D.
