Guest guest
In my child's school they use the picture exchange system with those who are deaf and those who are not. My son is not too adept at it right now but some of the students in his severely mentally impaired class are very good at the system. It is very surprising and neat to see!! It really helps them communicate. The whole school uses this system. WE have the cards on display at our home and encourage the use with Bradley. She is know almost 9 years old and has started some speech thanks to the pictographes. If you are interested there is a wonderful site @ http://www.dotolearn.com where you can print FREE pictographes.
