In my child's school they use the picture exchange system with those who are

deaf and those who are not. My son is not too adept at it right now but some

of the students in his severely mentally impaired class are very good at the

system. It is very surprising and neat to see!! It really helps them

communicate. The whole school uses this system. WE have the cards on display

at our home and encourage the use with Bradley.

Hi:

We have been using a pictograph system with for years and she

does excellencely with it. She is know almost 9 years old and has

started some speech thanks to the pictographes. If you are

interested there is a wonderful site @ http://www.dotolearn.com where

you can print FREE pictographes.
