Guest guest
Rita, I found these in the medical dictionary: hyperostosis , abnormal bone thickening (pop) spondylitis , vertebrae inflammation (pop stenosis , duct narrowing (pop) Cervical is the neck region. Here is a site about Cervical Spondylosis. http://www.emedicine.com/NEURO/topic564.htm This next paragraph is taken from the site listed above: Patients with a lower cervical myelopathy typically present with a syndrome of weakness, stiffness and proprioceptive loss in the legs. These patients often exhibit signs of spasticity. Weakness or clumsiness of the hands may be seen in conjunction with weakness in the legs. Motor loss in the hands with relative sparing of the legs, however, is a relatively rare syndrome. Symptoms are commonly asymmetric in the legs. Loss of sphincter control and urinary incontinence are rare, but some patients complain of urgency, frequency and urinary hesitancy (McCormack and Weinstein, 1996; Young, 1999). Sounds a lot like PLS, huh? I also have Spondylosis of the neck (cerival) region but not bad enough to cause my symptoms (that is what they tell me anyway) and my speech and the MRS make PLS the answer to my problems.
