Guest guest
Folks, For those members who may not be used to Lists and Forums, the issues being discussed here are: Changing the subject line in a thread – an example is what I have done with this mail. It is good practice to show the new subject if the thread has changed course, together with a reference to the old subject so that people can go back and read older posts if they are interested. Deleting unnecessary previous postings – this is especially valid when the subject matter has changed, but should be done in all cases. It is easy to do – simply highlight the bits that are superfluous and delete them. Taking these two steps will save time, especially for those who do not receive their messages in e-mail format, but read off the site. Having said that, although I do try to remember to do this, I must admit that I fail from time to time – probably more regularly than I think!!. And Laurel, I had to smile to myself when I read your mail. What does the title <snip> For goodness’ sake, people! <snip> tell anyone about the content of your posting? <grin> Terry Herbert Moderator: Prostate Cancer Support List From: ProstateCancerSupport [mailto:ProstateCancerSupport ] On Behalf Of yellow_laurel Sent: Tuesday, 8 January 2008 3:12 PM To: ProstateCancerSupport Subject: Re: For goodness' sake, people! I just wish that people would make sure that the subject line matches the content of the post. Laurel > People, we are all intelligent and computer literate here.
