Guest guest
It is the iodine that is raising your antibodies. It actuivated mine when they had been undetectable for years. Your free thyroid levels went down so it normal for TSH to rise whne that happens. I do nto think you have a need to test Aldosterone as your sodium and potassium levels look good. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Is it okay for my antibody numbers to be that high? Will they eventually stabilize, or should I be doing something to bring them down. I think I'm feeling a little better. So, it doesn't mean Hashimoto's? I think I had read that people with Hashimoto's shouldn't take iodine. Do you think Cytomel will have any effect on the antibody numbers? Thank you, again Val. > > It is the iodine that is raising your antibodies. It actuivated mine > when they had been undetectable for years. Guest guest
Val, What happens when people take iodine and they have Hashimoto's? Do they just feel worse and not understand why, or does it keep them from being able to use thyroid medication? If your iodine loading test shows your iodine as being low (64% excretion), can you never hope to get it up any higher if you shouldn't take iodine? > > They will eventually come down, but I would stop the iodine. Guest guest
My daughter tested 4 times negative for thryoid antibodies and the ONE TIME she tested positive was RIGHT AFTER she had started ARMOUR. How do we know that it is added iodine that is the culprit and not the iodine in Armour?? Naffy > > I am a bad one to ask as I am really pretty anti iodine. Guest guest
Will try to get into my files later for the labs. We were self treating then...no doctors involvement. She ramped up Armour per STTM site, due to low levels of ft4 and ft3. She had no antibodies at that time. Later we went to the Holtorf clinic in Calif. and we retested and they came out very high...she had been on Armour for about 4 months. He switched her to Cytomel.
