Guest guest
Sara: ASD kids come in at least two basic varieties: those that need to sleep in contact with their mother and those that don't want contact with ANYONE! Putter is the former and it sounds as if Mikey is too, bless him. It is pretty overwhelming, parenting a kid who regards you as the object of his obsession but it is flattering too and if you focus on that it makes it easier. At least I found that so. I never tried Putter anywhere else; I knew it wouldn't work but he was my fourth and Mikey is your first. Follow your heart, Sara dear, and some day things will get easier. Nothing like a decent night's sleep to make you feel like an actual human being again... Raena
Guest guest
Sara, Glad to hear you're feeling better. has always slept in his own bed, but sometimes wakes in the middle of the night and wants to either come to bed with us or me to come lay with him. He can usually go back to sleep then.
