Re: Can the PSA go down?

Fuller,I tried Watchful Waiting, under the European/American eye of Dr. Bertrand Guillonneau at Memorial Sloan kettering. He said I had too much "volume" of cancer in my most recent biopsy. Positive for 2 out of 14 samples, but still Stage T1c and Gleason 3+3.I also spoke with Dr. G...for about 2 hours!...in Manhattan, and he and I went over many options. he does not perform PCa surgery, so he (theoretically) was not biased towards it. He did have manual lararoscopic surgery performed on HIMSELF about a year ago, by Guillonneau (but only aftert Guillonneau recommended to him that he consider Watchful Waiting). And my original diagnosing Uro recommended surgery, with Scheuch or Tewari.Plus my own, educated, engineering opinion also supports surgery as an option. WW was my first thought, but my expert on that (Guillonneau) put the kibosh on it.At this point, I've waited over

half a year. For insurance reasons, as well as other practical reasons, I can't/shouldn' t wait any longer.--Steve>> Steve, It may be due to some sort of dietary change that you > knowingly of unknowingly made, or it may just be a "seasonal" > variation (I have read od such).> > Regardless, with your stats, there is no huge rush to treatment-- > Have you thoroughly investigated all your options, or are you going > on the one urolologist (surgeon's) recommendation?
