Guest guest
hypothyroidism opays absolutee HELL with the teeth. Gettign the RT3 issue dealt wi so your body can get the T3 it needs should helpp but is unlikley to undo the damage already done. It was explained ot me that the tissues get weakened and gum disease wis what causes most the issues, that and we tend ot grind our teeth at night due to pain in our bodies as we sleep. I had all mine out about 3 years ago and habven't missed them too much except I have troubel wearing ,y dentures as the dentist was a butcher that pullsed them, and left bony supports in the still poke through my gums and hurt. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Geez Val, that is terrible aboit losing all your teeth. I can see it happening so quickly. Do you also think it has to do with HGH, or lack of it? Did you take calcium supplements? or maybe it can be a problem with parathyroid? Thanks for any thoughts on this. > > hypothyroidism opays absolutee HELL with the teeth. Guest guest
I think it was the myxedema that I got as that was when they started abscessing. I had horrid fluid retention issues for YEARS that made my mouth tissues change. I have never needed calcium but am a big milk drinker. My calcium levels are fine. Thsi was nto tooth degeneration anyway but gum disease that killed mine. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
There is one big benefit in having all your teeth pulled. If you have a lot of amalgam fillings, you get rid of a huge source of mercury exposure. My sister's teeth were so rotten, she got dentures in her early forties. Within a couple years, she was able to stop taking anti-depressant meds. Then she was able to quit smoking. For someone who was on SS disability for depression, that's pretty radical! Only in hindsight did we realize that it was the mercury screwing up her brain.
Guest guest
pretty sad. I've asked for years, but they always said it wouldn't affect anything and I had no data against it.
