Guest guest
Using these old Free labs you ratio would be a 9. I doubt it si much improved as this usually doens't get much better on it's own. Any time I see RT3 over mid-range it is usually in a trouble zone. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Yes, I imagine my frees probably aren’t much improved since my current totals are pretty low: T4 = 6.5 (4.5 – 12.0 ug / dl) T3 = 122 (85 – 205 ng / dl) I don’t understand why my temps are so unstable, though. I’m taking (equivalent) 30 mg HC. Maybe I need more, but when I took more my temps plummeted. Thanks, Dana From: RT3_T3 [mailto:RT3_T3 ] On Behalf Of Using these old Free labs you ratio would be a 9. Guest guest
It is very possible that more HC pushes more thyroid into action that your body cannto use due to high RT3 and thuis cr3eates MORE stress on the body. Guest guest
Yes, the ratio you wanted was between fT3 and rT3 (which should be 20 or more) -- but you only had T3 tested this time (that ratio is somewhat less accurate). --- At 04:24 PM 12/8/2008, Dana Black wrote: > >Thanks for the clarification. Guest guest
Bill/Val/anybody? I've also heard from my doc re taking T3 at my request (vs. Armour). He wants me to do the SRT3. After what I've read, it seems like Cytomel is better in that you can titer up in smaller doses ie more control. Since my ferritin is so low (47) and I'm trying to stay with Isocort, this is a pretty STRESSFUL idea! : ) Can any of you tell me where I could download information regarding the RT3/T3 ratio (mine is 10). I'd like to come prepared at my next visit. Don't know how I'm going to convince him about the Cytomel, however. Thanks very much. Most who have used SRT3 don't find it adequate, particularly if they have been on any non-time release form of T3 only. I have some coming, Triyotex, and plan to give it a thorough trial, and will report. Probably will be a few weeks until it gets here, so my report won't likely be until early next year. Only reason I ordered it at all is my source for TiTre was out of stock, and felt Triyotex would be better than running out. sol

Guest guest
Thanks Sol/Birrdyy! Lying is not my forte, but there is also the question of cost!! My insurance probably won't pay for compounded SRT3. I'm pretty sure they'll pay for Cytomel. From what I've heard/read on this site, compounded SRT3 is fairly expensive and I'm on COBRA having been laid off from...you guessed it, the Endo department of a major hospital! Life is strange!
