Guest guest
WOW!!! The CT Connection far exceeded everyone's expectations. We had at least 20 PLSers and their spouses/families. Meeting so many other PLSers, and their caregivers was just awesome. Dolores Carron and Cecere organized the Connection. We stayed at a new Marriot Hotel, in wonderful Rocky Hill, CT. (3 minutes away was a park with 100's of real dinosaur footprints that my 2 kids just loved.) got us into his country club for breakfast, lunch, a panel of speakers, and much mingling. Dixon did an incredible job of producing a multi-page, color program with graphics. (How do you do that, ?) We may all have a rotten disorder, but we're all in it together. And the folks that I met were just fantastic! They came from Maine to Texas, California to Arizona to Wisconsin, to Illinois, to Delaware to Florida. And many states in between. And there were even some of us from New England. Dolores Carron had gotten some press coverage for the event before it happened. As a result, several people appeared, unannounced, at the door. Matching faces to email names was great. But it was much more than that. Meeting and talking to other PLSers was just fantastic. Joe Alberstadt started these get-togethers. We owe him a huge THANK-YOU for a fabulous idea--that is spreading big time. Thanks, Joe! There will be more of these meetings. If you get the chance to attend--DO IT! My family and I are very happy that we went. Mark Weber __________________________________________________
