I've been using ORegano oil three times a day and can not find a carb

count for it. Can anyone take a good guess as to whether it is high in

carbs or not?

How much sleep are you getting? I went to my doc because I was tired

all of the time and he had me write down everything I ate and my

bedtime, wake-up time for two weeks. Turns out I was only sleeping 5

or 6 hours a night. Getting a minimum of 8 hours each night solved

my problem.

Hope you get to feeling better,

  • 2 weeks later...

Lorrie,

Just exactly how long have you been on Atkins? If my memory serves me right

your still in the first two weeks. I felt kinda crappy for the first 3 weeks.

So just keep hangin in there girl, I'm sure you'll feel better.

I also find that now the more I do the more energy I have. So I try to

exercise 3-4 times a week at least. For some odd reason it gives me more

energy. But I know when I started the plan I laid around alot because I was

afraid to expend any energy for fear it would make me eat more, but in

actuality it made me less hungry. WHO KNEW??? lol

HTH,

Lorrie,

When I first started this wol I had terrible tiredness, I would get to a

point where,(I am not sure how to describe this.) I just had to sleep a

minute or two, I was so exhausted....I would nap for 1/2 hour and be fine

for a while...(before this wol I was sleeping 14hr. a day at least)...I was

worried and posted to my lists, others had the same problem and I discovered

it was part of the withdrawl process and by week 4 or 5 I think I got the

engergy everyone talks about and was only sleeping 6 hours a nite and

couldnt sleep anymore than that... let me tell you I have lots of energy and

get lots more done now a days....I did up my vitamins to 2 a day (mega

multi vit) and added L-carnitine. Not to worry, it will soon pass and you

will be feeling wonderful and full of energy....Annie

I found that taking L-Carnitine as recommended in Dr Atkins book, really has

helped me. I was really dragging myself around before that. Also make sure

you are taking your vitamin supplements regularly.
