Guest guest
Richrad I had them after 6 months, They need 3 hands To soon for injections? Its been eight months since my robotic RP. I am taking Cialis 10mg three times per week. Tried Viagra first but the flushing and headaches were not worth the minimal positive effect. Nocturnal erections are like before RP and having several every night. However, when I want an erection for sex its very undependable. Once I get one it doesn't last long enough for the both of us and it usually becomes a race to orgasm for me. Needless to say its becoming very frustrating for both of us. I am making progress but its dam slow and I(we) are losing patience. My question is , is it to early to consider injections and will taking injections damage something and hinder my long term recovery. Any thoughts? Rick Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
Hi All, I had nocturnal erections soon after my RP, but when I tried to make use of them, they quickly disappeared. I thought that if I could have a nocturnal erection, I should be able to have one while awake. But no amount of stimulation could cause one. I thought that perhaps I had a psychological problem. Then I bought a book written by Dr. Francois Eid. He said that nocturnal erections were caused by a different mechanism than those caused by sexual thoughts and libido. If one's nerves were not spared, one may be able to have nocturnal erections but not normal ones. I have used the penile injections. I know how difficult it is to stick a needle into that precious organ. But there is actually very little pain, especially if a thin syringe such as a 29 or 30 gauge needle is used. It makes it much easier if one uses an auto injector such as those designed for diabetic patients. Go to google and search for autoinjectors for diabetics and you will see lots of information. Itmay be that you're just trying a little too hard and dealing withsome unaccustomed anxiety brought on by all the stuff you've beenthrough in the last eight months. Instead of a race, try takingit very slowly. If things wind down, relax, stay involved, enjoyyourself, enjoy your wife. Don't worry if the erection diesdown. You already know that everything works and the erectionwill definitely return in a little while.I think a lot of women (the women on the group can say betterthan I) actually like everything slowed down anyway. If theerection subsides for you, pay attention to her for a while. Both of you may find that everything works better than you hadimagined. As for the injections - I've never tried them. I've beentempted, but not too much. Injecting myself in the penis with ahypodermic needle just never seemed like something I reallywanted to do. I'm not desperate enough yet.Alan Meyerameyer2Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year.

Guest guest
- I went through the same frustration and my best option turned out to be a vacuum pump and restriction band in combination with Viagra. It wasn't a picnic and sometimes I felt sorry for my wiener, but It was worth it. It sounds to me like your main problem right now is venous leakage which is a very common problem after surgery. The good news is that your chances are very good that this will improve over time but it can take up to 2 years. If you are like I was you will see a lot of progress between year 1 and 2. Here is a link to some interesting studies about penile rehabilitation. A lot of it boring and statistical but it is pretty interesting. http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=1751036Just hang in there! You'll continue to make progress. Guest guest
Rick, It been 9 months since RP for me and I've been using the injections for about 6 weeeks. They're effective for me. My wife actually does the injection which is a little painful. The hardest part is mentally adjusting to the thought of a penile injection but that seems to becoming less of an issue. My urologist said he believes injections speed up the recovery time. > > Its been eight months since my robotic RP. I am taking Cialis 10mg three times per week.
