They put brad on the pottie at school in intervals of 2 hours at a time. He

will go if we are consistant. He goes very well in the am right when he wakes

up.

For BMs we know he is ready when he flaps and then we put him on. Good luck.

Hang in there!! Brad is 9 yo ck

,

I think it's great that you aren't giving up and continuing to try. I don't really have much advice as we are only at age 2 so we haven't even thought of it too much yet. It must be really frustrating and tiring to have to keep cleaning up after the messes. Like you said though, I'm sure she will do it "in her time", Kennedy does EVERYTHING like that. I guess it doesn't get any easier to get used to that, huh?

Good luck !

Toilet training

Hi all,

Just want to post a note so that I could get some support to continue toilet training Katelyn. She is 10yo. I have tried many times before with little luck. The first time at the age of 3. She is doing so well when she is at school. She will only have 1-2 accidents a day, but when she is home it is a different story. She will go if I am very stern and give postive reinforcement when she is successful. She has had many successful attempts, but just as many accidents. Today has been a bad one. She has been home and had only one successful time. I am sick to cleaning up wet pants, but I really do not want to stop. I hate this CHARGE time line. She does it in her own time, not mine.

Thanks for listening

Hi, what worked with my 4 year old, now five, is that he had to change his own pants, urine and help with bm's. He was pretty consistant with tiem of bm's and I could usually catch him, until he started telling me. I think peer pressure at school helped too, he is pretty much on target for age, so all or most of the kids in his class were trained.

We also said no more pullups except for at night he doesn't have the control then, but does if he sleeps during the day. He also knows he is a role model for his younger brother now--" show Keegan how to go potty" . so it's something he CAN do and brother can't. Which really builds his self-esteem.

Hope all this babbling helps, even just a little--don't give up, I never thought he'd do it--he finally just decided it was time.

good luck.
