Guest guest
I still keep having very strange blood test results and reactions. I stopped taking all meds 1 year ago - basically thyroid and adrenal meds. - they were not helping and sometimes making things worse. I have lost about 40 pounds since stopping meds. Overall I feel better but far from great. 2 months ago my TSH was 18. FT3/4 were both at the very bottom of normal. I was also iron anemic but ferritin was high normal. I took iron pills for about 10 days but started having problems so I stopped - losing hair, depression, intolerance to high iron foods, back pain to name a few. I was retested several days ago - my TSH is now 9 and FT3/4 are middle of normal. Yeah...that's right - I haven't taken any thyroid or adrenal meds. yet my thyroid blood values have improved by a lot. I feel worse. My adrenals are really starting to give me problems - BP is dropping - dizzy when I stand (sometimes), temps are also dropping. I'm waiting for my ferritin results (I expect it to be through the roof) but my iron is now inside of normal but at the low end. This is all VERY weird. Has anybody heard of such thing? Guest guest
As ferritin can affect production of T3 nd RT3 I suspect your changing iron levels coul cause the differnce in thyroid levels in your blood work. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
